It is physically large, but a lot of it is simply decorated open space thanks to The Chasm's influence. Speaking of... I have effectively been fussing over the last big Chasm room for the better part of multiple days now, but with it done... detailing is basically complete and I can move onto like, monsters n stuff.

@RileyXY1@DankMetal and @Cutman, I'm quoting you three specifically in the thread just to throw out an idea. As we all know, in December 10, 1993, Doom was released as a shareware Episode. This year we celebrate 30 years of that very special day, which gave birth to this huge collective of players we call a community. Johnny and I talked about this, and we wanted to release the first episode of Amalgoom on that day to honor the date. I wanted to know if you guys think you can make that date with maps 05 and 08. It would be an amazing way to celebrate Doom's history and the community that developed from it.

I will probably finish my part today, it doesn't have impressive looks (like the original levels), but i yhink all depens on cutman, he will make at least 70% of the map

I mean, if someone was "allowed" to make a remaster, then you're "allowed" to make a sequel. I don't see why you'd need permission to make a sequel to it unless you plan on using their sprites and textures and such. But even then, if the remaster exists, then surely it can't be that bad.

Yes, but please don't insist too much, i have other projects outside of amalgoom, like my own wad for nanowadmo that i didn't finish in time.

I've just found out that @RastaManGames has been banned due to some fight he had with someone else on another community project. Does anyone know him personally or have any way to reach him? I just playtested his map, and I would like him to fix some stuff. I also don't want to pack his map without his express consent.

And i know this is not the composers thread, but i wanted to share some demos of the songs from the intermission text screen and Map 12. This time, i decided to take a more "post-punk" and gothic approach to this themes.

Oh i forgot to share this one (not really)

I had this idea thanks to my father, he says that Sign of evil sounds like "a sad circus song" so i imagined this level as a sadistic funhouse run by two abusive cyberdemons. It fits with the gimmick of tricks and traps.

That's an unreasonable expectation I wouldn't place on all the mappers here. I'd be happy with a finished episode one. Still, we never know.
