GZDoom: Dynamic lights not working on pick up-items with altered Dehacked.

i am experimenting with Dynamic lights and came across something strange.

 

When I change the name, or any other property in Dehacked, of a pick up item: its Dynamic light doesn't work anymore in GZDoom (version 4.10.0.0).

Strangely it does work in Zandronum.
I am working on a GLDEFS entry and got everything to work except these.

Other things [non pick up and monsters] are fine.


I made test-WAD, attached to this post.
All items have the same purple light bound to them.
The Items on the left have unaltered Dehacked.
The Items on the right have altered Dehacked:
Rocket Launcher and rocket: name changed in Dehacked,
Plasmarifle and cells: frame set to full bright,
BFG and cell-pack: both

 

Why doesn't the dynamic light work on Dehacked-altered pick up items?

This would help with total/ partial conversions :-).

Pickup items changed with Dehacked get a new special actor assigned that simulates the sprite-based pickup behavior. Apparently the light doesn't get transferred. Strange that this never got mentioned before.

Thanks for the quick reply!

So if I understand correctly, there currently isn't a way to get this to work in GZDoom.

I can live with that, I just want to know so I can stop trying :-)
