This is the Doom equivalent of graphorrhea/hypergraphia, what the hell

Played through it in full! Was a bit unfortunate that there seems to be no music (or at least music that GZDoom was capable of playing), but I did enjoy it.
I would put it in the same category as ARCHIE.wad just because of the surreal nature.

That's unfortunate, there is music...maybe your volume in the options menu was turned down? Thanks for playing! I'm going to work a tad more on the wad, then release it on to moddb, thanks again for the response.

this is actually really good, i love how unnerving and surreal the whole thing is; it's also surprisingly not as difficult to navigate as it would seem at first glance. i do wanna know tho, what's the source for the background audio in map01?

I have my music cranked to max. I'm running GZDoom 4.7.1, and I get this message in console whenever I load a map:

Quote

Unable to load: Unable to identify as music

Not really sure if my GZDoom being out of date could be the culprit. I did not try any other versions.

is the softlock at the start of map05 intentional?

The invincibility sphere at player start allows you to see the switch where the red key is, the red key door is located down the hall in the room between the two yellow light posts

I will look into this, thanks!

This was either the best WAD that I've ever played or the worst. I'm not sure, but it was very unique and I will certainly remember this one

Thanks for uploading

That brings a smile to my face, thanks. Did the music/sounds for each level work for you?

Yeah it probably worked, not sure if the glitching monsters are intentional but the starting music gave me a eerie impression

Cool, yeah the shapeshifting monsters was an idea that ended up being pretty fun to make.

Looks very interesting to me.

Two questions:

1.) I think it only tells you to enable crouch and freelook (compared to Vanilla Doom), but am I supposed to enable jump as well? Otherwise I get stuck in a shallow pit on the first map already, if I'm correct.

2.) I want to experience this the way it is intended, so I downloaded the latest GZDoom for a fresh install and I got two errors when loading this WAD:

Unknown patch 'S3DUMMY' in texture 'S3DUMMY'
R_InstallSpriteLump: Bad frame characters in lump SLIME09

Are you getting these, too? Does it even make a visible difference?

Thank you.

Yes you will need to jump, crouch and freelook.

the messages while you load the game "unknown patch and spritelump error" are from a dummy slade image and a texture I ended up not using, none of which effects game play.

Thank you for point these things out, as I will try to polish this up for a final release, for now it should be a solid playthrough without any softblocks or errors.

Thank you very much for clarifying! :) The whole idea and concept is really cool.
