Which 90s fps games have the best story, gameplay, and soundtrack?

Recommended Posts

Quake OST Supremacy gang - ROTT and Quake 2 have bangers, but Quake fits the game way better and I don't really enjoy listening to MIDI songs outside of the context of the games.
Gameplay - Doom / Doom II. Duh
Story - Half Life? Marathon? 90s FPS weren't really known for their story

Gameplay:
Out of the box? Blood
With access to source ports/mods? Doom

Story:
Marathon does have a pretty interesting story... But I only know that because I watched Mandalore's video about them. I doubt I would have put it together back in the day.
Half-Life wins on the merit of actually having the events happen to players as opposed to mentioned in a manual or in audio logs/terminals

Music:
Medal of Honor

Marathon, as a trilogy, has a fantastic story. Music-wise though I can't really give it to them, as there's only music in the first game (officially, anyway.)

Half-Life's story is pretty bare-bones when you think about it, but it works because the presentation is so good. You really feel like something is happening all around you that you only see part of on your lengthy journey across Black Mesa. (I also think it's got some of the best AI in the business for the era.)

I'll always come back to Duke 3D for the music, though.
