Burdens of Mortality

Recommended Posts

I had to stand up tonight, because i had somehow to feed the Toilet

At the Morning the same and now after two Coffees i am again on the Toilet

It is not the first Time i am thinking that this Time Wasters are a Burden of my Mortality.

Same with eating, it is often something you have to do, but i could leave it at all if i could

I was even "eating" for a Month one of those "Meal Drinks" that was supposed to exchange your Meals.

But my primitive Instincts just wanted to bite into something XP

Do you have such Stuff, that you see as a "Burden of Mortality"?

PS: Your body is a temple that needs nourishment (healthy food). Sleep is a divine blessing to refresh your body from toxins.

enough about burdens: what are the benefits of mortality ?

for one: sometimes taking a shit is downright therapeutic, a statement i cannot imagine an immortal god being or an inanimate object agreeing with

Sounds like you don't handle coffee too well. I'm glad I'm one of those who's completely unaffected by it, considering the volume I consume on a regular basis.

I clicked 'Burdens of Mortality' in the 'Popular Now!' tab thinking it was some new wad. No, no it wasn't..

A WAD so hard it gives you severe stomach cramps a minute in of playing.

I thought it was going to be a commentary on our inevitable deaths...but nope wasn't that either.

Whenever you feel down on yourselves, you can take solace in the fact that everyone has to take a shit sometimes.

Some more then others.

Indeed, we are all bound together by this function.

It's like we're almost one human family because of that. I feel so connected now.

United not in creed or nationality, but by our bodily functions we are indeed one.

Exactly the same.

Also, this may not be useful to OP because I'm guessing there's a larger underlying philosophical issue of which defecation-related disgruntlement is merely a symptom, but I personally don't find my potty time to be at all a waste (except in the pun-adjacent sense, obviously).  I enjoy stimulating my brain and there's always something I can be reading or thinking about whilst I'm doing the doody.  In these past 10 years or so, I can even take my phone to the toilet if the printed word is no longer enough, though in practice I usually don't.

I think your primitive instincts are telling you to try and enjoy things that are necessary for your survival. I don't always advise listening to primitive instincts, but in this case, I'd say yours are making a perfectly reasonable suggestion.

Also key to remember: Just because it provides the same nutrition does not mean it will provide the same experience.

Sure, one of those liquid meal smoothies might have all your body needs, technically, to stay alive. But food is about more than mere nutrition. Some of it is a social aspect. Some of it is mouthfeel. Some of it very much is psychological.

And on that note, me talking about all of this is reminding me I really should've eaten a couple of hours ago, so I'm off to make a meal myself.

Case in point, I'm just sitting down at a bar to a tasty IPA beer. From a nutritional standpoint, there's basically none to be had, but from an enjoyment standpoint, it's a solid 8.5/10.

And I sat down with a homemade salami sub with some sour cream and onion chips for a side.

Along with an ice-cold drink, it's a decent way to forget about the day.

Dealing with stupid people, and I don't mean just those that lack common sense. If you've ever worked in retail, you've had to deal with some serious thickheads, as well as total jerks. If you have a problem with something, TRY to do at least some work beforehand.

On a lighter note, probably the effects of lots of heavy food generally. And much of that is sooo good.

More personally are digestive issues that make consumption of hot sauce for instance but other foods besides, a complete no-go.
