I'm happy that you're happy that your legs turned out to your liking. Personally, I'm really happy that my dog's allergies are clearing up. I took her to the vet in early August because her skin was bright pink and she was chewing the fur off her paws and had gouges on her face from clawing at it. Her eyes were bloodshot and puffy, and she had quite a bit of trouble sleeping, every day she looked like she had been in a prize fight. So the Vet recognized signs of seasonal allergies, which she didn't have the year before, and convinced me to give her a shot of Cytopoint, which is expensive, but she reacted very positively to it. Within eight hours of having the shot she calmed down, stopped scratching her face, stopped biting her legs, and just got some life back. Two months later, I've changed her diet, just in case it was a dietary issue, she's been getting kangaroo and bison/venison mainly, I've stopped feeding her fish, and she's back to being a happy pup. So I'm really happy about that. And if anyone here has a dog that's experiencing seasonal allergies to the point where they're clawing their faces or chewing their legs up, I did have good results with Cytopoint, and this isn't an ad. I was dubious, and it's expensive, but it really helped her. I took a picture of her a few hours after she got the shot, so I could have a before and after picture. And a picture from a month later: Yeah, different sides, but her right side looked even worse than the left side, I just never took a picture of it. 12 Quote Share this post Link to post

But yeah, I can't overstate just how happy I am that she's not suffering from allergies right now. I'm not a person that really cries that often, but I did tear up when I saw her suffering, so I'm really happy that she seems to be doing okay. It seems like the heat is what really triggers it, and now that we're getting into Autumn and cold weather they seem to have subsided. And here's a picture that I took about fifteen minutes ago: She's getting scritches. Edited October 14, 2023 by Jello 8 Quote Share this post Link to post

And she was a stray that I got from a shelter, I wasn't convinced that I was going to adopt a dog, I didn't know if it was the right decision, but I wanted to consider it. I met a dog at the shelter the week before I adopted her, and he was a beautiful ginger Australian Cattle Dog, but he was far too high maintenance. I knew he wouldn't be happy with the living conditions that I had available, he needed more space than I had, and as much as he seemed to like me, I didn't think it would be the best fit for him. Then I saw her on the shelter's website a few days later, went to visit her a week later, and fell in love. She was reserved and calm, she acted like she was agitated by the other dogs barking, she just wanted a quiet place. And she seems to be happy now. Yeah I probably sound like a shill, but I would highly recommend people look to local animal shelters when they're thinking about getting pets. There are so many animals out there that need homes, and they're really really really good boys and girls who just want somewhere safe so they can be their best selves. I have a cat and a dog from the local shelter, and they don't act anything like they did when they were adopted. They act safe, and comfortable, and bold, and brave, and sweet, and loving. I understand completely, we have 3 doggos and one of them has developed seasonal allergies really badly in the last 2 years. My wife being a veterinarian right away knew to give a shot of cytopoint and it works wonders. So much better than benodryll. 😀 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
coderamen Posted October 14, 2023 Update: my legs itch like mad because of razor bumps. Oops. Well anyways, I'll learn better next time and try to find out how to avoid this. I still like that I shaved my legs. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

VoanHead Posted January 9, 2024 Pizza Tower has had a teaser dropped a while ago about The Noise being playable sometime in the future. I’m stoked and can’t wait till it releases. Also, the game itself is turning 1 year old this 26th of January. Maybe it’ll be a good excuse to install and play all over again as a celebration. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

That's funny, I've been playing it for the first time recently and just beat the floor 2 boss! I'm happy that, while a bit sad at first, losing a loved one gave our small immediate family enough inheritance money to solve a LOT of problems around here. We're getting an actual car to scoot around in, I'm getting a really fancy E-bike and a Keurig as well as finally a phone with service connected to it, and around half of the money is going to go towards starting to get me my own place finally at 23. Something I seldom talk about on here is my mental illness (schizophrenia) and how that can be a thorn in my side, but after going to the looney bin a couple of times and learning about meditation, yoga, and breathwork, it really feels like the sky's the limit on how happy you can make yourself be. Just gotta put the work in. I say this even not having had the best start to my day and sleeping wayyyy too much, but it is what it is. I'm here another day, the money's almost here, I have therapy tomorrow and I'll start planning some stuff out with him. I have friends that care about me, I'm lucky to be in relatively good psychical health, just primarily the brain that's a bit screwy. I love goodposting. May all your days be good this year, fellow posters! :) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
