Raith138 Posted October 12, 2023 (edited) The grate is going through the floor and I don't know how to fix it. I'd rather not lower the railings Edited October 12, 2023 by Raith138 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ViolentBeetle Posted October 12, 2023 Oh yes, this is a well known issue. To prevent it you need to make floors (Or ceilings) different in some way. The simplest way to do it is to change brightness by 1 (Like from 128 to 129) - it won't be visible, but it will make the renderer cut the mid texture as it should. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jayextee Posted October 12, 2023 Midtextures bleed through the floor when the sector/s at both sides of them have equal properties. A quick and easy fix is to raise or lower (usually raise) the lighting on one of the sides by '1' -- it will look identical, but to the engine the sectors are different; ergo it won't merge the visplanes and should draw the midtexture properly clipping at floor height. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Raith138 Posted October 12, 2023 (edited) This is a map for the 30 sectors project. I can't waste sectors like that. @Jayextee Edited October 12, 2023 by Raith138 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
