There's quite a lot of natural beauty not so far away(the same region Endless said would be among his favorite American regions, although I would say one can't ignore the East entirely). Unfortunately, it also has the common poor rural issue of blatant drug abuse and the problems that come with that as well. I'm rather lucky to live in a town where that's not a huge problem.

Canada...

Really strong effect of American and British culture, and a pretty nice, moderately wealthy place to live,

But understanding that Canada, looking at it on a map, is entirely stolen land, built up by the colonial slave trade and abusive diplomacy, if not outright raiding and looting native civilizations, and the wealth of England that helped establish Canada was looted from India, Africa, East Asia, and elsewhere...

Although we are heavily influenced by American culture, I think we lack to a certain extent the assumption of superiority that comes form being "U.S.A. numba one", falling back on our very British send of propriety, renowned politeness, inoffensive but pitching in globally where we can.  I feel like 20 years ago, if you asked the average Canadian what atrocities their country had committed, they'd be hard pressed to say anything.  Maybe the hanging of Louis Riel.  Maybe nothing. The public awareness surrounding 'residential schools', and discovery of mass child graves associated, really shook our do-gooding and morally superior sense of nationhood.

I live in a beautiful part of the world.  But being aware that the land I live in was amongst the very last in the western world to  be considered fair to conquer by way of arms, bad faith diplomacy, and politics of extermination... it is something that we may be a long while in reckoning.

To say I love my country is complicated.  But I can say, that it is beautiful, and I am very fortunate to be able to enjoy its beauty.

Chile is beautiful, i love his food (aguante el completo pa siempre), the way people talks, and al of that. But, like every country in latin America, the government is a fucking joke, and everything related to politics here is 10× more extreme than other countries thanks to a certain event that ocurred in september 11 1973.

I'd live here in Chicago if I wasn't born in Milwaukee and call it home. Lucky I get to go there

every other Friday from May through October for roller skating on the streets which is what I

was doing when this picture was taken. I've lived in Florida, Georgia and Illinois but Wisconsin

is my home and I'm not leaving here again. I haven't flown on an airplane since before 9/11

and have absolutely no desire to do so. I have no interest in seeing other countries. As a child,

I went to Canada across the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls so that's the only time I was ever

not in the US. All that being said, I do care about the rest of the world! I just don't want to go there.

Chile's leaders are kind of dog shit right now, and earthquakes still give me PTSD, but other than that, I love it there. The mountains are beautiful, the deserts are vast, and the cities are bright. Too bad nobody can drive for shit.

My country could be beautiful but most of the people are fucking retarded atleast online. I'm seriously considering giving up my position in the military reserve due to our policies, which really is a hard decision. I wish things were different. We need a militia here lol.

@Kwisior I think we need textures of Soviet blocks for Doom, lol.

A skybox could be neat, but I don't know how to make textures.

Man, I wish Germany could like shut the fuck up for 5 minutes about politics. Slowly growing to be as insufferable as the US in terms of political discussion and everything else going on. Is it really that hard to talk about something mundane?

I'm in love with what I've seen (trough pictures) and heard from Chile. It has like, pretty much every climate and ecosystem on the planet. In a single country. How cool is that?

About my country, Spain is pretty diverse too. Where I live the climate is humid and temperate, so there's green everywhere. Nothing like D2ISO hehehe. Don't have photos lying around, but it's called Galicia, if anyone's interested. It's also a country with a lot of historical buildings, from ancient times to today. So it certainly has a lot to see, for my taste at least.

I would ramble for a couple paragraphs about my country's political climate, but I'll just go with the positives. I can already complain about that with my fellow spaniards.

A little ashamed to be frank considering 70% of my country still doesn't want to give political rights to a marginalised group they have repeatedly discriminated against. Unfortunately it seems my country is more racist than I thought.
