Well Well Well.Finished this map on hurt me plenty with 100 percent monsters and secrets but only 74 percent items.This was actually really hard But im glad its overs.15 minutes of pure hell.

if you want to get into speedrunning, you can visit the speed demos forum part of doomworld and read some of the pinned topics there to get a handle on what sourceports to speedrun with, how to speedrun, what you can and can't do, how to post your speedruns, etc.. If you have any questions or want to get in touch with the speedrunning community for classic doom, I'd suggest joining the Hell on Earth discord server (linked in one of the pinned threads on the speed demos subforum), and/or interacting with some runners on twitch (pretty good way to integrate into the community and watch awesome gameplay), as pretty much every single day actually there's at least one of us running something on twitch, although it's a lot of casual/mapping/playtesting streams from speedrunners as well on there.

 

As for actually getting better at speedrunning, find a map that you really like, hopefully it's from a pwad since the iwad maps are really hard to get into for speedrunning (if you want to take records that is), and then try to run a category you enjoy on that map, and just keep trying to do the run faster and faster until you're satisfied with the time you have on it. You can watch other people's speedruns to see what sort of techniques or strategies you may want to employ in your own run, and if you have any trouble or questions I'd recommend asking about it on the Hell on Earth discord server.

I like to strafe by the stairs and wait for doomguy to walk by, then after killing him I head upstairs

I enter the room directly and run to Doom Guy first.I circle strafe around him and kill him.After killing him i kill the rest of the zambies

I'm bad at circle strafing on laptop, my pc mouse doesn't work with doom,  so I can only do it on Xbox and I still am bad

Oh damn I mostly learned doom watching big mac davis and he threw in a few tricks during his walkthroughs here and there.

Yeah, I've played it before. 

 

Just don't play as Ben Garrison or the Klansman because their entire weapon variety is dogshit. The other ones are alright though, Hitler/Wehrmacht are my go-to when playing the mod; no, not because I'm a wehraboo, I just like the vintage ww2 era weapons.
