Why don't i have permission to view the infamous people's thread?

Recommended Posts

I was actually kind of curious.

It seemed like an interesting topic that has never been discussed here.

EDIT: I should have probably posted this on everything else. (Apologies)

I would guess that it was deleted, considering it gives me the same message.

Oh yeah, I wonder why.

No you dont. If it gets deleted, it is likely for good reasons.

And lets be real - a thread on infamous Doomers never was going to last, just brings out the guns to shitbird on people who cant shitbird back.

How is being curious bad?

Such threads only bring negativity and infights, that's why it was sent to invisible depths of hell.

Yeah but I was just curious. Nobody even started a fight in the first place.

It's fine, I went to rest when thread was going on, I'm lacking more context that went afterwards. Besides, I'm mostly speaking from previous experiences too with such threads.

Good intentions do not preclude bad outcomes.

A thread that specifically names and shames people for their previous infamy, potentially opening up healed wounds and the risk of bullying might have something to do with it.

Besides, curiosity killed the cat. And it was probably killed by the troubled curious child.

Yeah makes sense.

But I never said we should shame them, but it's redundant now since it's deleted.

You didn't, but with a topic like that it's going to happen sooner or later. Don't worry, no one's blaming you.

if there's one thing that's more annoying than people joining Discord servers and immediately talking about their own bans elsewhere, it's people who feel the need to ask about other people's bans.

one thing to understand about Doom folks - they can hold a grudge. and there's about 20 or so good years of history on that front. but I digress. Obviously your intentions weren't bad but probably worth noting that it's best to let sleeping dogs lie.

A big part of me really doubts it's something that's "never been discussed here" before. It's likely that when it was/is discussed, such threads meet a similar fate, and probably for very good reason. It doesn't take a master detective to figure out why. It's just a bad idea to go drama-stoking, no matter how burning your curiosity is.

That's all a thread like that can do: stoke old drama for no reason.
