Gundam UC Engage released in west!

Well this news will probably be of interest to about 5 people here, but for those of you who are interested then on 16th of October Bandai released Gundam UC Engage, a mobile gacha game on IOS and Android.

 

The game is based on the famous Mobile Suit Gundam franchise and takes place acros various era´s of original Gundam continuity (Universal Century, short for "UC").
Now the game mostly plays like your standard mobile game, meaning that the battles are automated with minimal player input. The only thing that you as a player get to decide is on leveling your mechas and pilots so they would stand a chance on beating each mission. The game has a lengthy tutorial, which explains nearly everything so you do not need to worry.
And then there are of course the gacha mechanics which are used to get new pilots and mechas. Now due to me getting the game early I managed to get a lot of in game currency which allowed me to build some decently sized roster, but I do not know if this will still apply for later players.

Also I did notice some bugs in the game, one that even got me softlocked but I managed to fix that by reinstaling my game.

 

So far I found the game to be quite fun, it´s incredibly cool seeing your favorite Mobile Suits kick ass on battlefield and the menu heavy gameplay just triggers my autism in the good way but this is mostly coming from me being a big fan of Gundam franchise and so for those who are not much familiar with the Gundam franchise the game might not have much to offer.

 

Still if you are looking for some nice, easy game that you can just pick and play then give it a shot (as long as you do not sell your arm and leg for virtual currency). Of course if you are suffering from some kind of gambling addiction I´d suggest you stay away!
