Sonikkumania Posted October 18, 2023 Yes. Anyone remember when you'd insert the Q2 CD to an ordinary CD player and it would play the OST? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
SupremeBioVizier Posted October 18, 2023 No shit, I'm going to try that in my car here in a few since, the car plays DVDs and stuff so I'll see 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ducon Posted October 18, 2023 It’s in Quake 2 (the original game), after having killed the Makron. There is a way under the main room where you find the pictures then the Makron with two iron maidens. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted October 18, 2023 The fact that the Strogg leader has basically the same name as the current French President will never not be funny to be. It gets even better in Quake IV, where in the French dub they pronounce it the same way as Macron in French! XD 4 Quote Share this post Link to post

This worked on PS1 games if they had actual redbook/CD audio tracks, all of Nightmare Creatures' music could be heard outside of the game but only some tracks on PSX Doom because the rest were in another format. A lot of PC games worked for the same reason, for example Half-Life 1 but not Unreal because it used a different format again. Takes me back to when I'd pop in my Take No Prisoners game disc and listen to that killer soundtrack while beating Final Doom for the first time in Doom95 when I was like 15 or something. Wew, this comment unlocked a very specific memory. E: Actually my favorite memory was when games let you play without the disc and I chose to because noisy ass CD-ROM drives and not knowing the first Quake had a soundtrack, popping the disc in one day to listen and being utterly terrified at my introduction to dark ambience. ClumsyDoomer Posted October 18, 2023 As a kid I discovered that the Brandon James billboard can kill you if you run into his mouth. Didn't find a video of that, wouldn't believe that it's not well known. Funny thing 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lila Feuer Posted October 18, 2023 I love it when Steed kills me from beyond the grave, RIP. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

The Makron is and remains dead at this point. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Reminds me of one of my favorite easter eggs: Symphony of the Night had a secret bonus track that wasn’t in the game. It even has a fun disclaimer from Alucard’s VA. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
