PNG to Doom format conversion issues

Hi everyone,
Recently I decided to start a new resprite mod, this time I actually was making them myself instead of simply recoloring, so eventually I had to convert to Doom format in Slade. Of course, the colors were messed up, so I did all the things required for sprites to be fixed, however they are still wrong. What am I doing wrong? Is it even possible to keep the initial colors?
(P. S. yes i know the sprite is questionable)

Those shades of blue aren't in the DOOM palette. The conversion is doing its best with the nearest it does have.

The best thing you can do is to export the Doom Palette and directly use that to make your sprites
