How do I make the floor rise out of acid?

Murderous Owl

Question

I'm working on a map and was wondering how would I do that one thing from episode 1 m1 where you press a switch and the floor raises, changing texture. I looked in the the map file but since I'm using the ultimate doom builder format it's a different line action.

I assume by Ultimate Doom Builder format, they probably means UDMF format. In which case, I think they probably want action 235 - "Transfer floor and special from back side [of the linedef], perhaps.

Ultimate Doom Builder is not a mapping format,

it is a map editor which can configure a mapping session for specific map formats

for example

The area of interest, which raises the slime sector and changes the floor to the surrounding texture, is in E1M2

The special can be used for all vanilla formats (DOOM, DOOM2. BOOM)

For UDMF and Hexen formats, the same effect can be achieved with the special: 250:Floor_Donut
