Themes are taken from the previous sessions, a spoilered list of themes and gimmicks Is down there: Spoiler THEMES: - Abstract (Various) - Knee-deep in the Dead techbase (FS7), using only these assets: https://i.postimg.cc/ncQLYczF/IMG-20231021-163731.png - Mixed techbase with hell (FS10) - Wolfenstein style (FS9) - Imitate bad IWAD maps gimmicks (Nirvana, The Chasm, Habitat, Fortress of Mistery, Hell Keep, Dis, Icon of Sin) (FS5) - Remake a IDTech 1 game level in your style (FS2, FS6, FS8, United VirusX maps) - Small village (FS6) - A house leading to a attic (FS8) - Water sewers (FS6) - A boat in the middle of the ocean (FS3) - A software factory (FS1) - A small fort (FS1/FS4/FS6) - Caverns/Canyon (Various) - A park with many fountains and falls (FS6) - A swamp (FS1) - Holydays (FS2) - Snowy land (FS2) - Dark creepy places (FS3, FS8, FS10) - Hell (FS4, FS8) - Circular arena with a building (or some other important thing) in the middle (FS3/FS8) - A starship (FS6 E1M1 layout) - Brown earth Fortress a la Quake (slade extra) GIMMICKS: - 100 sidedefs max (FS4) - Symmetric layout (FS3) - Cyberdemon with no ammo and health at the start of map (FS3) - a invulnerability sphere in the middle of the room (FS3) - Exit reachable only by jumping from a stair leading to the exit sector (FS6) - Lots of moving platforms (FS9) - Mostly boss monsters used (FS6) - Mostly FIREBLU (FS1/FS5) - Doom 1 items only (FS7, FS10) - Barrels everywhere (FS5) - Slaughtermap (extra June FS) Choose one theme or gimmick from the list above or more if you want and have time! Not mandatory, but i like if you can use at least for map basis a old editor from the 90s/2000s (and if you find a working one lol), a list of them it's here: https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/utils/level_edit/ Maps must be for vanilla compatibility, test them with CRL: Game: Doom 2 If you want add new textures, write a 3-letter prefix based on your nickname (eg WAL) New music in MIDI or MUS format is welcome, don't exceed the 64 kb limit Source WAD: shov11r.zip Includes new gfx, sprites, sounds and Dehacked for the Wolf SS, replaced with a rapid fire flying gargoyle from Heretic.
