The Shadow Episode FINAL BUILD

IT IS HERE: 8 days before schedule- but nonetheless here! This got its final tweaks and updates just a few days ago and is now ready! (So why prolong the release date? Right?) 

 

Play with Gzdoom and have a blast! 32 BRAND NEW MAPS!

 

This was decorated with textures from the MBDE pack alongside its roster of colorful characters. (Such as the Nightmare Imp, Grell, and Nightmare Spectre) plus WAY more! (Chainsaw upgrade also included)

 

playtime is about 3 - 4 hours long with secret areas and extras not factored in. The challenge is about on par with DOOM II or NRFTL

 

Story for anyone who cares: (TL;DR: Bad stuff happened) "As a UAC marine, you fight your way through an infested earth while a nuclear malfunction causes mutations in the demons around you causing the new breed of demons to appear. Your goal is to shut down THE SHADOW EPISODE. In order to seize the invasion on Earth... even if you have to get through the pits of hell"

It's a real shame this has been ignored. Because it's actually pretty good! Custom enemies befit the run and gun feel and its obvious lots of work went into these maps. I suppose someone could complain about some maps seeming insubstantial but they mostly seem to serve a narrative purpose so its all good! It should be noted that it's practically all incidental combat, in case someone will get bored with that.
