ZDL / GZDoom Steam Deck - Can't play different WADs

I've been stuck on this for days. Can't seem to find anyone else having the same issue. No matter how many fresh installs, youtube and online tutorials, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to play different doom WADs on my steam deck using ZDL. I have no issues getting it to run and play Doom and Doom 2, but when I try to play Haste, Sunder 2009, ANY other WADs, it only will launch Doom or Doom 2. From my understanding, you simply have to add the WADs you would like to play into "External Files" in ZDL, launch, and boom. But it doesn't work. I'm sure its something simple, and its just an oversight on my part, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like it should be straightforward but I am not familiar with the steam deck or GZDoom.

Something that would be helpful is to set up ZDL to play the WAD you want (as before) then go to the "ZDL" dropdown button and select an option that is something like "show commandline" basically to show the final launch command that ZDL uses - this might highlight if something is missing. Paste this in a reply.
