How do I make buildings in Doom Builder?

Hey guys, I'm new to Doom mapping and I'm trying to build a lab. The problem is that something crucial is missing: some stairs, and a wall. How do I make a wall and stairs? because anything I try to do, ends up being a wooden floor, and a blue wall that tries to disguise being a sky. And I really want to create an indoor environment so I can have monsters or switches in it, instead of creating masses of wood or hills.
