Skela Posted October 26, 2023 I'm not sure this is the correct place for this but it's technically related to doom builder. I've been using UDB for a couple of months now and recently Windows Defender told me it found a high level threat called Wacapew.C!ml which got me scared, then I looked it up and found mentions of trojans and adware and got even more scared. But then I noticed the affected file was UltimateDoomBuilder\Updater.exe. I downloaded my copy of UDB from the official website, so is this just a false positive with Windows defender freaking out over UDB's updater or should I be worried? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
boris Posted October 26, 2023 There have been false positives about the updater for a long time. They come and go, who knows why. My guess is that it's because the updater has the ability to download files off the internet (without which is would be useless, of course). 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Naarok0fkor Posted October 26, 2023 AVG sucks as much as Windows defender. I'm certain that a lot is going on in our machinery that is basically binary pollution... 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
