Who else has never beat the iwad maps in a single playthrough?

I can complete first episode of Doom 1 in single run (and I did several times, it's short if you know what you're doing), but games - no, I only can play for hours in RPGs and open world games.

I'm a casual player and I haven't even finished Doom 2 yet and I've already played a few megawads. I haven't finished any of them yet.

I’m sure I’ve done eps 1-3 in one sitting — when I was a teen, no job and no school on that day. Maybe Doom 2, but by not caring one bit about maxing anything.

 

Nowadays I’m happy if I can do two maps a day. (Even in iwads, especially in TNT or Plutonia)

Not a speedrun, just a playthrough

Did the secret maps

Died on the Citadel because I forgot about the crusher
Got fucking softlocked on Gotcha and had to kill myself

Died on the Chasm a lot, once due to fucking blockmap bug

Died on Icon of Sin because at that point I didn't care

Fed up, tired, not worth it.

If the demo doesn't work I don't want to know.

 

Can say I did Doom 2 in one sitting though.
