DoomGappy Posted November 6, 2023 You should ask this question in the editing forums. There might even be some tutorials there. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

My understanding is that you'd replace the monster sprites and modify the monster behaviour via Dehacked/Whacked. For an additional monster (in Doom 2), many people will replace the SS Soldier. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sonikkumania Posted November 7, 2023 I used to use DECORATE but I prefer ZScript nowadays. That's also a way. You can learn from both of them via ZDoomwiki. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

None of which will work in Vanilla. @Patrick_Plays_Doom it would help if you told us what this monster was exactly, and what format it was in exactly. Where did you get it from? But yes, the general gist is you need a PWAD containing the graphic and/or audio data for the monster, with the frames and sounds having the same names as you want to replace. And if there's customisations to the in-game behaviour, that can only be done via a Dehacked patch. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
