Issue with Ultimate Doom Builder textures

Recommended Posts

I was making a new wad, i finished mapping everything then i went to start placing the textures, i could place textures in walls normally, but the issue is with the ceiling and floor textures. Whenever i go to place textures for the celiling it does not show all the textures it only shows the ceiling textures, this is very problematic since im making metal supports wich need to have the same texture to the walls and to the ceilings, not even writing the texture name works. This only happened after i updated UDB, there was no issue before updating it. Is there anyway of fixing this?

What map format are you using? Vanilla Doom and Boom-based formats don't support putting wall textures on floors/ceilings and vice versa. Only ZDoom-based formats can do that.

maybe you should post this in doom editing.

Seconding the suggestion to check your map format. UDMF makes it possible, but Doom and Boom formats force you to use flats on floors/ceilings and (wall) textures on walls.
