skalshadar Posted November 10, 2023 I played classic Doom a lot as a kid, and grabbed the Bethesda games when they released. Recently, some youtube videos, specifically those of Karl Jobst regarding speedrunning doom, and BeefGee, have brought my attention back to the original. After picking up the Doom(1993) game on Steam, I did some looking around, and Ive been struggling to find information about what the best way to get back into things is. From what Ive gathered, custom maps are more popular than ever, and better than ever, and there seems to be a number of free and/or custom source version of the game. Is there a dedicated "what you need to get into Doom Classic" package somewhere, or even a guide to what resources are best used in what context? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
skalshadar Posted November 10, 2023 That is precisely what I was looking for. Thanks for the absurdly fast reply! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gmg Posted November 11, 2023 When you return to play Doom again, remember these words: "...shoot at it until it dies." 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
