dsda-doom first fire + mouse look lag

Hello,

I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem anywhere on the internet or on GitHub, so I'm creating a new topic.

I'm experiencing a 1-second lag (freeze) in mouse movement when I use horizontal mouse look and click the mouse to fire simultaneously. The mouse look freezes and then unfreezes after 1 second, causing the screen view to jump to the final position of the movement. This issue only occurs when I initiate firing. If I continue to hold down the mouse button after the initial fire, there's no lag. This problem happens with both an external mouse and the built-in touchpad. However, if I fire using the keyboard, there is no lag.

I have installed dsda-doom v0.27.3 (using brew install dsda-doom) on a MacBook Pro with an M1 chip. I'm using software rendering. My FPS ranges from 160 to over 300. I've tried changing vertical sync, uncapped frame rate option, using different resolutions, and running the game in both fullscreen and windowed modes, but nothing has resolved the issue.

Does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be or how to fix it?

Thanks!

Are you running a keystroke/mouse remapper tool like BetterTouchTool?

If you are, does the issue go away if you disable it? (EDIT: Note, this means fully shut down and close the application, not simply blocklisting a specific application)

If not, do you see the same lag if you remap fire to opposite/right-click and use that (as an experiment, to see if the same lag exists on both mouse buttons)?
