I often see people referring to Cyberdemons as "siege cows", and I just love that.

As young boys (too young to be playing Doom, but we gansta) me and my brother used to call Hell Knights and Barons "snotty monsters".

Because they threw green blobs at you, we were super creative like that.

Doom 3:

There are some obvious ones here (calling Trites 'spiders', Cherubs 'babies', etc) but some others i have that are kind of novel. For some reason I always called the Maggots "Bowling Pins"....no idea why. The Wraiths, although "Teleport-y Dudes" would have sufficed, are known as "Bats" to me, for hopefully obvious reasons.

 

Doom 2016: Hellrazers are vaguely called "Laserers", which shouldn't be groundbreaking. I called Summoners 'Archviles' for a time but eventually settled on "Archementals"

 

Doom Eternal: This is a weird one. I have always, always called the Gargoyles "Jersey Devils". I honestly don't know why but as soon as I started doing it I can't get it out of my head.

Mancubus: Guaton Loyola (reference to a very famous cueca song)

Archvile: tumblr sexyman (do not ask)

Chaingunner: Heavy (i know they are called "heavy weapon dude", but idc)

Cacodemon: Caquito (reference to a chespirito program)

Revenant: Don Ramon (another reference to chespirito)
