GZDoom always starts at the lowest resolution possible.

New to the forum here, don't know if this is the place to ask. It started happening around the time I installed Reshade and toyed around with it. It always started at something like 320x280 and I recently noticed that it isn't Doom exclusively either, as when I tried running HL2 it did the same thing. Strangely, ECWolf for Wolfenstein 3D was unaffected, and I'm starting to think something I downloaded changed the default OpenGL resolution. This breaks a few mods too, where when I change them to a proper resolution, the sprites stay like it and results in a weird experience.

If it's happening in multiple things, that definitely doesn't sound Doom related. Something you downloaded/installed is setting the video mode or something else weird is going on.

Try completely uninstalling and then reinstalling your video drivers for your video card.

I discovered another thing, attempting to set everything to defaults crashes the game. I don't know why or how this would've happened.

So what happens when you remove Reshade?

Did you select the appropriate render option during the ReShade installation and ensure that the games you're having trouble with are using the renderer you selected when you installed ReShade (assuming you have ReShade on all of these games)? What is your GPU? You should check in your GPU control panel to see if you can spot anything that might have changed.

I only had it on GZDoom, and not anything else.

but you said it was happening on Half-Life 2

if it is only happening on GZDoom, try the latest release or dev build, forced 320x200 was a problem with GZDoom v4.10.0 that I experienced aLOT so going to a newer version should help
