CARNAGE DOOM!

Not to bash your playstyle or anything, infact all these mods seem to be pretty quality, but is any of this your original work? all I see in that bloated zip folder are a whole bunch of loose mods with not so much as a text file with credits or a load order

 

Also next time you make a post, for the love of god either downscale your screenshots or put them in a spoilers tab. Took my browser ages to load all those images

So basically what I am doing with this mod is I am taking all kinds of mods that I find and I hand pick them and put them together into this mod along withnsome stuff i made on my own. So no most of these aren't mine but I hand picked these to add up into the mod. Also I will have less screenshots. Finally I don't really know how to set up a load order. I just kinda take the files and drag them to gzdoom

Basic load order from top of ZDL load side going down. 

 

  1. Pwads usually maps.
  2. Textures packs including lighting and other pure map enhancements only.
  3. Monster pack if applicable
  4. Player only mods such as weapons.
  5. Player mods, but this time HUD or other player side enhancenments
  6. Global mutators such as Corruption cards

 

Thats pretty much it. This basic layout is best for mod so that they will have less clashes with each other. Not at all helpful for full gameplay mods that try to replace everything, something that I am definitely guilty of building.

Btw this is basically my first time making a mod that modifies the gameplay of doom and I am getting better at it. So thank you for telling me all of that 👍 that's basically why my status is set as warming up. I have learned a lot about how to make a mod like this and with the scale it has been put on. I think I have come a long way and I am proud of this.  So thank you for telling me some things I did wrong so I can make future updates funner easyer to play and so on

Btw we're should I put any gameplay modifiers for my mod? Because a have a small mod that gives doomguy some good moves like sliding and a grappling hook

Yeah I know the one you're referencing. Thats a player modification mod so that would go after the weapons slot. So basically slot 5 before any of the global mutators because it is a player specific mod. For that mod its fine after the HUD mods.
