Textures

Recommended Posts

Hi! I am trying to make doom look better for myself and I have a problem.. I want to make textures less pixelated without making the whole thing blurry. How do I fix this? I have played around with the high quality rezise mode but that also makes it look bad.

If you want higher-fidelity textures without using bilinear filtering (yuck) or resizing filters, most people use community texture packs that swap out the game textures for new ones created at a higher resolution. This one is very good!

"Looking better" is a very subjective criterion.
There are so-called hires packs, which enable a finer resolution, but whether these really look better is open to debate.

I have actually tried that. I just want to make it so I can have my game look like that on startup

That isn't exactly what I was looking for I am trying to find a way to make the texture look less like 16 bit and more like 32 bit

Not hand drawn but this sounds like what you're looking for.
