TheShep Posted November 28, 2023 Everyday I feel ready and proper for a snooze. When's your favorite time to snooze? I'd say my time to snooze is mid-afternoon or early evening. (and yes I'm well aware that if I "snooze," I "lose.") 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Aaron Blain Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) I nap at least three times per week because of my work schedule, in the afternoon when I get home. When you say "snooze", I thought you meant snooze buttons, which I feel very strongly are a scourge on humanity. If you have the option to sleep later, just set your alarm later. An additional 15-20 min of not-quite-sleep doesn't do me any good. Edited November 28, 2023 by Aaron Blain 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
mrthejoshmon Posted November 28, 2023 I hate going to sleep, sleeping feels like lost time, until I actually am asleep and then hell yeah shit is great. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
P_A_Z Posted November 28, 2023 My favorite time to snooze is after midnight, most of the time i snooze in front of my monitors and i enjoy this feeling i have when i snooze. Snoozing is the best, falling asleep is like shit (crosstopic with weird dreams). 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Tactical Burger Posted November 28, 2023 I hate sleeping cause no matter how long I sleep it just wastes a lot of time and I still feel tired afterwards. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Also, when I was living in a dormitory environment, there were always 'those' people, who had 10-15 alarms, all 5-10 mins. apart. I genuinely don't see what could be gained from repeatedly sleeping 5 mins, bookmarked by the loudest alarms ever. Furthermore, everyone else can hear that, too. It's damn annoying. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
natashanightmare Posted November 28, 2023 I like snoozing so much that i snoozed for 21 hours one day XD 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Denzel20 Posted November 28, 2023 My sleep schedule is garbage in every sense of the word, and there are times when I don't even sleep for whatever reason. So no idea. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Snooze buttons work for me because despite being blessed to be able to get a good night's rest I lack the motivation to get out of bed as soon as the alarm rings on work days. Snoozing lets me light sleep a bit more and when the alarm rings again I know I have to get out of bed or else I'm fucked - simply setting the alarm later would not give that sense of urgency for me (believe me, I've tried). I'm definitely those people. What's gained is that it allows me to make my appointments on time instead of sleeping through them. Different things work for different people differently, I suppose. I even set multiple alarms for events when I'm fully awake because I have a tendency to become absorbed in the current activity and have difficulty breaking away from it. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
ClumsyDoomer Posted November 28, 2023 It always takes me more than an hour to fall asleep. Usually 1-3 hours depending on how nervous i am. Drunk, tired, doesn't matter. Napping is impossible for me. I've been trying sedative pills for the last month - no change except I started seeing dreams every day, which is kinda cool, at least it gives something to just lay and waste hours waiting for. The worst dream is, if not worse than reality, at least less boring. Alarm clocks - either zero or one, no need for more. Sometimes i can hit the snooze button by accident if motor functions show up before the consciousness, but by the time it retriggers (5min?), I'm usually intact, and the retriggered alarm catches me by surprise. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Trying to be a bit more sensible about it these days and get around 7 hours a night. If I could get away with not sleeping and not, you know, die, I would. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Synami Posted November 29, 2023 When I have a day or so off, sure. When I accidentally fall asleep for a few hours and wake up in the middle of a night when I have college in a few hours? Worst goddamn feeling. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SleepyVelvet Posted November 29, 2023 Snoozing rocks. Sometimes it's good to just relax and vibe out, sometimes it's a crutch. I like pillows and fabric and soft things a bit too much and the psycho-somatic things they provide, sometimes to a fault. Sometimes I accidentally vibe so hard that I start melding with the Fabric of the Universe itself and become some sort of cosmic Snorlax temporarily. Snooze responsibly, everyone. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Merry Widow Posted November 30, 2023 I'll have you know I snore like a freight train. And I love to snooze every chance I get...during the day anyway. This is meant to be humorous btw. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
rita remton Posted November 30, 2023 it is medically proven that noon naps are good for health :) Quote The researchers noted that persons who slept for a bit in the afternoon seemed to have a fifty percent lower risk of heart attacks compared to those who did not get enough sleep. Coopersville Posted December 1, 2023 I love snoozing! No more tears, only dreams. If I take an afternoon nap, it's at like 2PM. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
act Posted December 2, 2023 sleep when you're unemployed as shit is like, the final boss of existing. It's like a shitty horror enemy. It always creeps up on you, no matter what you do, and it always comes when you just don't want it to. Never at 8pm, always at 3am. I can lie in bed and wait for it as long as I like, toss and turn in a half-medidative state for literally three hours without even so much considering getting up to use the bathroom and never even daring to think about picking up my phone, but it just doesn't come until 4am when it's far too late to sleep and still expect to awake at 6am. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
