CacoKnight Posted December 1, 2023 (edited) Can't find a thread with favorite players, only a list of youtubers so... who's your favorite/most enjoyable to just watch and chill? I have a list channels I check occasionally so.. Zero Master and Decino have to be my two idols for Doom stuff but they are too perfect and technical they drive me insane, "how the hell can they even do that" etc. Doomkid too for technical/explaining stuff like Decino of course. While I'll never get at this next one's level either, I think Brainfreezzzzz has to be my favorite Doom YouTuber, his comments, jokes, how mad he gets and his insane skills, which make even the hardest map look easy, is just too enjoyable to watch. UltraViolence is another one too, funny stuff and great skills. I also enjoy watching MtPain27. I'll probably come back to add more as I think about them, which are your favorites? Denzel20 Posted December 1, 2023 Decino, and a Spanish YouTube, called "Hunted11" 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
RushupDen Posted December 2, 2023 Zero Master all the way! Midnight is cool also 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
JohnR60 Posted December 2, 2023 BigMacDavis, decino and Coincident. Watching them together motivated me to play Doom again after a long time and open my own youtube channel where I play some Wads and other videogames in Spanish. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted December 2, 2023 pagb666. His video walkthroughs are most helpful. 10 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sonikkumania Posted December 2, 2023 DraQu, even though he is not mainly Doomtuber, he's done good Doom speedrunning too. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Plerb Posted December 2, 2023 midnight, i love it when he talks about real mass shootings like they're creepypastas, thinks chex quest is the scariest game ever made, generally makes shit up, all in the name of views* *Disclaimer: I've never watched midnight (thankfully), this is just what I assume he's like from what I've read about him. In all seriousness, MtPain27 is probably my favorite. I like watching his takes on megawads as I'm playing through them (without jumping ahead to maps I haven't played yet). I also watch decino and Doomkid sometimes. 7 Quote Share this post Link to post
DoomGuy2077 Posted December 2, 2023 I like anyone who does live commentary playthroughs rather than just uploading demos. The "Bob Ross" tone e.g. Decino, BMD, is good if you're looking for a level guide. Vytaan's upbeat style makes engaging content for casual watching. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
TheMagicMushroomMan Posted December 2, 2023 +1 for Midnight! If not for him, I would have never learned about Marilyn Manson's secret wad about Columbine that made it into Doom 2 undetected and inspired Eric Harris to design Moonman, which is still used by NASA to kill children in Uruguay. 35 Quote Share this post Link to post
Average Posted December 2, 2023 I rate That Nukem Guy: https://www.youtube.com/@ThatNukemGuy He's got a nice considered and conversational way and doesn't do the "OMG" shit that some Doomtubers go for. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Ozcar Posted December 2, 2023 (edited) I can't believe that none of them mention doomkid, I find his videos interesting like the top 90s WADs one or his mystery videos like the origin of the songs that was used for dwango, I also find his playthough video relaxing, more likely for his voices, lol. Edit:I noticed a user already mentioned doomkid without realizing it, fuck. Edited December 2, 2023 by Ozcar 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Eric Claus Posted December 2, 2023 (edited) decino and Coincident, but I have consumed others here and there on occasion. Edited December 2, 2023 by Eric Claus 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

GermanPeter Posted December 2, 2023 Decino, of course, but also Shallow! Really love his super laid-back style of playing through WADs. I sometimes put them on in the background while working on other stuff. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DoomGappy Posted December 2, 2023 Dario Casali because he's a grumpy dad playing fps games. 10 Quote Share this post Link to post
QuotePilgrim Posted December 3, 2023 DavidXNewton. He does more than just DOOM and I actually found him through one of his Prince of Persia videos back when I was replaying the game for the billionth time; I didn't even know he made DOOM videos for quite a while after finding his channel. Which is to say, while I really enjoy his DOOM content, that is not necessarily what I care about the most. I just wanted to mention someone that wasn't already mentioned by everyone else. My favorite DOOM-specific content in all of YouTube is decino's analysis videos. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SirPootis Posted December 3, 2023 I watch all the usual ones: decino, MtPain27, Coincident, Doomkid, Zero Master, and 4shockblast, but I do have a soft spot for tatsurdcacocaco. I remember stumbling across his Doom playthrough/speedrun videos back in 2008 and watching those helped me really get into Doom. Chubzdoomer's tutorials and Call of Duty Doom parody wads are also great. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post

Mr. Freeze Posted December 3, 2023 Doom-adjacent? Sure but it's better than the guys who stretch Doom Wiki articles into 15-minute videos or people explaining the lore of a series that, at best, reads like the worst Image Comics series written in the 90's. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
OniriA Posted December 3, 2023 None actually. I don't 'actively' watch Doomtubers. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
scorpion Posted December 3, 2023 Decino and Chubzdoomer are the only ones I'm subscribed to. Decino for the explanation videos (of which he'll be posting more as I understand) and Chubz for the Doom Builder tutorials, teaching me awesome things, some of which I use for work. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
