Ani Posted December 9, 2023 So I decided to download project 64 to test out some cool N64 roms I downloaded and chose to check out Quake 64. (Hot take: I think it's a more fun FPS than Goldeneye because I get to map my own full controls instead of stupid default control modes) As soon as I was about to get to the secret under the exit, the game'sĀ frame dropped unless I paused and unpaused multiple times to even know what I'm doing. That was until I checked the plug-in section of Project 64 and turned on the GL Plug in for Q64. The slowdown at least stopped but it was so weird to encounter. So what I think happened was that Quake 64 was built off of some sort of code or piece of something from GLQuake since the sourceport came out a year before Quake 64. I'm not 100% familiar with this kind of coding but by putting pieces together, I think I can get some sort of understand of what was happening. Just something I felt like bringing up and open up a discussion. Was I the first guy to notice this? Lemme know. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
