Pipe Dream - 5 Techbase-gone-bad maps for GZDoom

A couple of things.

 

Some of the rooms early on had a symmetrical feel that goes ok with slaughter but maybe not so much with what's happening here. Thankfully, this issue improved.

 

Ammo could've been a tad more generous, as you'll be able to say in my playthrough of the opening map.

 

The last map really stands out with the creativity of some of the situations that we're put into!

Awesome stuff so far, Wookie! You have an impeccable eye for detail, beautiful lighting and spicy, engaging combat that doesn't feel predictable. Here's a playthrough of the first two maps. Rest assured, more on the way. Love it so far, mate.

Glad to hear it because I just finished! Sorry in advance, I neglected to record MAP03 and MAP04, but I assure you they were awesome. The penultimate map was quite a doozy, nailed my arse to the wall and gave me the shits a couple of times, but managed in the end. I'm going to blame it on rust as I hadn't played much Doom in the past week lmao. This is a terrific WAD, mate. I really like it a lot.

Great stuff! I enjoyed this mapset a lot and I really liked how each map was better than its prior, showing how much you improved as a mapper as you progress.

A couple of issues I've found:

1. On Map04, the part where you pick up the plasma rifle, if you accidentally step on the panel where the plasma was after you've already opened the door that closed you in, you get softlocked inside.

2. On Map05, starting area, one of the floors is accidentally set to F_SKY2.

Other than that, keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to your future projects. :)
