@fai1025 Sorry for the short notice, but would you be willing to extend the deadline? My map has had the unfortunate luck of being stuck in development limbo and it's not looking like it'll be in a satisfactory shape by the 29th. I would appreciate having more than two days to finish it up if that's not a problem.

if done like the cyberdemon in the first map of Ancient Aliens (as a pressure, and the map will kill it for you) then yes

Map 22

Name: The Sinking Lands

Music: "Tides of War" by Jeremy Doyle, from Requiem

DMIUM2_E5_MAP22_RC1.zip

Difficulty settings and co-op support added. DM implemented but not tested. Tested with DSDADoom and GZDoom.

Co-op was tested using GZDoom in co-op mode, and everything seems to be working as intended. I hope it works in Odamex as well, but I couldn't figure out how to test it offline.

I think it's cleared to declare the half month extension proposal won the voting, so the deadline will to extend to 17th of March (+2 more day for compromise)

you know what, let's have a vote:

react with 

blue sphere for half of month extension (to 15th of March)

mega sphere for a full month extension (to 2nd of April)

 

also deadline is just a line that I'll start compiling, and I'll still accept submissions (I'll exclude ppl that haven't submit and haven't said a word throughout the project tho, I won't wait for them), hotfixes and updates, the process will cost about another 2 week on my side, so don't be too rushed.

Multiplayer stuff has not been added yet. Difficulty settings have been implemented. Tested with DSDADoom and GZDoom.

I also plan to reduce the size of my previous map, I noticed that a normal run can last over 10 minutes.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to drop out of this project. I've been hit from every angle by life and it's prevented me from getting anything done. Between multiple migraines taking me out for several days, overtime at work, and multiple pet deaths, I've been left too exhausted to even begin mapping. I apologize for not being able to produce something for you.

If there's no one queued for it, I'll volunteer to fill the MAP24 slot. I've got some free time this week to crank out something small, even with all the options this res pack offers.

Having just played through all of the released maps so far, this one definitely took me the longest. Without secret hunting, I ended at a nominal 30 min playthrough (though I'm usually a slow player), not counting reloads. There's definitely ways to speed this one up while retaining the pacing and general challenge level, though I recommend adding one or two more green armors for UV, at least for the YK lock-in.

The map is still in beta, some future changes are planned, like including co-op spawns and tweaking difficulty. Just thought I'd bump the thread with a fresh release.
