Are there any good vanilla multiplayer ports?

I'm just wondering if there are any good source ports that are vanilla (or only allow small mods), and is somewhat populated, specifically in the Australia/Oceania region.

 

The only port I have tried yet is Zandronum, which I know isn't really used for vanilla purposes but from what I know (which isn't much) it's the most used port. And whenever I look there are usually only around two servers that are heavily modded.

The other main multiplayer source ports are Odamex and ZDaemon, give them a try.

Only familiar with Zandronum and Odamex, but of the two, Odamex is probably what you're looking for. It's based on a derivative of an early version of ZDoom so it's a lot closer to Boom

Nothing stops you from hosting your own server on Zandronum with vanilla settings, provided you host something cool someone is sure to show up eventually.

I can attest to Zdaemon, Odamex, and custom Zandronum servers aswell, but those 3 don't often have 24/7 attendance like a Megaman DM server. so I'd recommend going to each port's respective Discord server and taking advantage of their Looking-For-Game functionality:
