Box of Chaos 2 - No Doom 2 Allowed (Another freeform modding project)

So, is it allowed to make a Wolf map that uses ECWolf features (i.e. Decorate, ROTT elevators, etc), and is it allowed to use Doom assets (and also recreate Doom maps)?

Doom assets it's ok, recreate maps...Yeah, but don't make it too obvious to understand what map are you remaking

Have you checked out all the references out there? This might be useful, and there's also this YouTube playlist.

How to upload it?

  • Put the mod(s) you want to share into a zip (zip file must not be more than 50 MB).
  • Upload the zip file somewhere, preferably a file sharing site.

Yep, but the "=== Only for modded assets from other games ===" should be removed while keeping everything else intact. Also, I think it'd be better to make the download link clickable by choosing the entire link, pressing the chain button (to the left of the " button), and inserting the link.

Finally got around to releasing my first contribution to this project.

 

Title of your work: Strangle

Game: Strife: Quest for the Sigil

Description: This is my contribution to the Box of Chaos 2 community project. A regular deathmatch level focused on mishmashing a few themes as a attempt to further work on my mapping skills. I get the layouts right, but I needed to work on my texturing a bit better.

Title of your work: Macenbitz

Author: THEBaratusII

Game: Wolfenstein 3D (Mac)

Description: Was originally going to make a mapset for the Macintosh port of Wolfenstein 3D but I felt discouraged to continue due to a strange bug that I don't know if it was due to using an emulator or not. This mapset contains two levels. .DSK image for mounting is included and a .SIT archive is also included inside the .DSK image.

An actual Mac map? Damn. I only messed around with WolfEdit a few times, but I should make an actual Mac map at some point.

 

(I'll probably end up doing something else for this project, though.. time to bust out good old DOS and Watcom C++.)

Game: Hexen - Beyond Heretic (1995)

Description: A deathmatch map for Hexen sets in a small outpost over a sea of lava,the thing placement it really shows that i'm the Jon Snow of Hexen imo. Jumping and crouching required!
