Average Posted January 4 So, after 50 years I finally found that I've been living with ADHD. All these years, I thought I was a waste of space as I just couldn't learn anything 'properly'. This has caused me to never really do anything mod-wise for Doom... Until now! With the new year I've decided to actually put something out there. I know this is a silly and small little modification that anyone else could throw together in an hour - and probably have! Anyway it took me quite a bit of time and effort to learn the Umapinfo stuff and not get confused. I consider it my "Hello World" project. Thy Flesh Arranged.7z I've always felt TFC gets a hard time of it and needs a bit of love. This is just a WAD which sets the maps in the order that is widely accepted as easiest to hardest. I also chucked in the Episode 4 tracks from the Ultimate MIDI project (credits in the WAD) along with intermission pictures. I think this makes for a better playing experience. Perhaps someone will enjoy the episode a little more now, too. :) It has taken a LOT of courage to post this. Please, if anyone posts a reply, be kind. :) 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
WARDUST Posted January 5 mmm not sure what i have played... the first map is familiar to me, but i can't remember from what wad is. And the next it's from Ultimate Doom. If i'm not mistaken, it's the episode 4 with some changes to refresh it. 100% playable in any case. Thanks for sharing! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Average Posted January 5 Yeah, it's just a small re-ordering of the original vanilla Thy Flesh Consumed maps. The original order isn't great and I think that's the biggest reason that people dismiss the episode. All I did was sort them in an order that has a smoother difficulty curve and gave each map it's own music. Like I said, nothing special. I just thought I should finally put something 'out there'. Maybe my next upload will be a little more ambitious but also easier for me to share. :) 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
