ClumsyCryptid Posted January 7 I am uncertain if this is the correct way to go about this, and I will be looking through all of the threads, but I am looking for Human sprites. Like knights in shiny armor, peasents, archers, royalty, servents, etc. Preferably ones that have 8 directional sprites and some form of aggressive frame. Kinda need it for something, and I am not confident in myself to create my own. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ETTiNGRiNDER Posted January 7 It would help to know what for or at least if there's a style they should mesh with (Doom-style aesthetics, or something else?) There are various edits of the Hexen characters and the Strife peasant around that are mostly what you have available for Doom-ish stuff. Some of the Might & Magic games are somewhat popular to rip from, but have a different style. Ditto Witchaven or Daggerfall (and some of those might also have problems with a lack of directional sprites). You occasionally see Dungeon Keeper ripped from, too. There was also a Duke 3D shovelware that had some medieval sprites, which I think people ultimately determined were derived from Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
smeghammer Posted January 7 Have you checked Realm 667 repository? https://www.realm667.com/en/repository-18489 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I was hella tired when I made this post. Like make post, instantly pass out in recliner computer chair. Heretic/Hexen style, either works. Been looking at ripping from other games, mostly Might and Magic because I love that series, honestly been playing through all of the games starting at the first. I may pull sprites from HoMM or one of the later M&M games. Human fantasy style sorta. 7 hours ago, smeghammer said: Have you checked Realm 667 repository? https://www.realm667.com/en/repository-18489 Huh.. new things since I last looked, I thought it wasn't an active repository for stuff. I'll take a gander, thank you. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ETTiNGRiNDER Posted January 8 You're welcome to use/re-edit this old King that I edited ages ago, but I never bothered to do more than idling and death frames since he was conceived more as a quest giver NPC than anything else. You might also want to page through NeoWorm's stuff for other characters that aren't posted to R667 but like this one a lot of them are static NPCs.https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=15908 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

The Duke disc in question is imaged here: https://archive.org/details/totalmeltdownusa I don't think it's a rip in the typical sense, but an odd situation of the developers releasing some of the assets on this product themselves. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
