Could you give me specific texture names and screenshots please? I'm not sure what you mean. The word 'decoration' doesn't help me, and 'the other pink textures' has me scratching my head. Know that I took quite a few OTEX textures and changed them to a rose color. I don't think there are a lot more 'pink' OTEX textures in the pack besides those.

OMRBLK 33, 35, 35 and 37.

By deco textures I mean textures that have a symbol on them or something similar, they are not meant to be used as a wall texture but as one to help add detail to the room.

I'll leave it up to @NiGHTS108 to decide if he wants to add these to the pack for this project. I won't be adding these to the standalone Valentine's Day pack: they don't feel Valentinesy, except perhaps for the plain marble ones. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Uhh... maybe? What source port are you using anyway? I've never run into any issue like that on the latest version of DSDA-Doom at least, has anyone else here encountered this?

 

EDIT: I ended up fixing it just by removing unused patches on Slade, at least I'm pretty sure, try downloading another version of it

Looking for extra partner for our city map, because my partner gonna make map at 02 February due to IRL (just informed) while I myself had problem IRL so we wasted our time for few weeks and only has few days left to finish. And we don't wanna the map feel rushed in, like lack of finer details or cut ideas, or overlooked bug.
 

We are making city-themed map, a suburban map to be exact. So far, I made playground, store, almost finished clinic, and almost finished house with indoor part. My partner also has some idea to add, although still in his brain because he haven't get time to implement it. Currently, I'm trying to make a good car sector, implementing MIDTEX roofs (like the slide in playground), and adding more buildings.

Looking for someone to form a throuple

 

My girlfriend and I have a map idea and we're working on it already. It will be a map that tells the story of how we met for the first time in a party from my point of view.

 

We're looking for someone with experience in visual tricks, voodoo dolls (not in real life, okay?) and lighting effects. We have no gender restrictions. We're open to humans and demons. We have a thing for redheads (gingers and cacodemons), but it's not a necessary requirement.

Thought I'd update this thread, I've only gotten one map so far and there's only ten days left. I would be open to extending the deadline here, a lot of you have shown interest in the project and I understand this isn't quite the same as just mapping alone due to differing timezones or whatever, but either way, hope some of you might be able to submit soon!

Just for the record: Valentine's Day in Brazil is on June 12, the day before St. Anthony of Padua, known as the Santo Casamenteiro (kinda like "Matchmaker Saint").

I ran into this anomaly (a seam maybe?) when running file in ZDaemon.

Taking a look at the NEWSKYx textures in SLADE, I see their sizes are absolutely huge! 1024x240 each.

That *might* not be the problem though...

that Y size looks like the culprit; 240 is not a power of two. Strange things happen with many Doom ports when

textures have odd sizes like this...

 

I've resized these skies to 512x256 and will post here but won't have a chance to test right now as I'm taking

off to go to work. Will test in ZDaemon later...

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THIS PROJECT

 

I've officially decided to move the deadline from February 12th to February 19th giving an extra week to map, as voted popular consensus on the Discord server. I apologise for clearly underestimating the amount of time it would take to map for this project, so hopefully this should be enough time for some of you to submit more maps. If I had the idea earlier, I would've started this in November and had a solid three months until the deadline, as I still don't think a month and a week is really enough, but I do want to release it some time in February.

Huzzah! This was a fun project to map for!

 

The premise made this project a perfect place for me and @Lord_Z to team up again, haha. We had a few rather intense planning and mapping sessions over the past couple weeks to try and get our idea fleshed out, and we're hoping that people have fun with something a bit different.

 

A note for @NiGHTS108, and for anyone playing the map, that there is a modified version of the resource wad in the zip file with a single new sky texture ("NEWSKY4", which is one of the existing skies without the harsh transition vertically). If there are any issues with that, let me know and we can adjust things as needed.

Haven't played your map quite yet (although it looks great) though thanks for doing the resource a favour! I don't see a reason to not include it so I've just updated the resource to feature the new sky instead, I'll credit you for the edit, you don't have to edit your map or something to accommodate this, should be easy in the compilation process

Difficulties: In single-player, difficulties act as you would suspect. In deathmatch, implemented with caveats
Multiplayer/DM starts: 4 starts available to co-op but no rebalancing done for such game

8 DM starts available, UV is the default DM map, HMP is all super shotgun, HNTR is all rocket launcher

have to make one. That lump is CWILV01 as I'd saved this map as map02 with your original project.

Obvs., if you choose to slot it elsewhere, you may wish to rename this lump appropriately.

Notes (optional): We decided early on to go with a hub world with portals allowing you to enter any of the key routes in any order and balanced gameplay accordingly. The theme we agreed upon was shedding toxic elements and hangups from previous relationships while forming a bond and attempting to turn our negative past experiences into a fun and creative collaboration. We had a really good time making this map together and we hope you enjoy Ménage à trois!

This was one of the most fun and exciting community events yet!  Thank you to my partners in the Ménage @senpaigru and @SirPootis for being awesome dudes! I learned a lot and had a lot of fun.  I mostly learned what a nodebuilder is and how it can buckle chasing after ambitious ideas. Because we had to cut the original ending to Ménage à trois where our 3 Key paths lead to one empty house where all our mapping styles merged into a new Home. The Node Builder was very clear about that not happening, So It was reworked to be our teams second map 'Homewrecker' that is a much more direct collaboration between the three of us. It was a lot of fun making it I hope y'all enjoy it!

 

And of course a big thank you to @NiGHTS108 for throwing together this fun Mixer!

Map name: "Oasis of Aphrodite"

MIDI: "Love Theme" MIDI by Vangelis (from Bladerunner) - Note: this midi has some weird artifacts at certain points when played from the windows MIDI device

Difficulties: Implemented (though the need for future balancing is likely)

Notes: A moonlit stroll through the oasis and gardens of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and procreation. Be sure to stop and smell the flowers; take a load off and bathe in the pools of love juice - just don't be late for the wedding.
