EraserheadBaby Posted March 19 When the woods have fallen asleep, the sky has turned grey, and the grass has gone brown, a fresh snowfall is a beautiful thing to experience. It can be a hassle to shovel, but I love the cold clean air. The snow catches every precious bit of sunlight and bounces it back to you. I love how snow muffles sound so almost all you hear is your breathing and the crunch of the snow itself. I like to strip to my boxers and roll around in the powder. Then run inside feeling like I just got done winning a fight unscathed. Get some coffee and stave off the depression with that cold roll adrenaline shot. I like to pack fresh snow in my bong. I like to stare into the night sky as the big flakes fall and pretend they're stars passing me by as I travel through space. I like making sculptures with the snow, even though I suck at it. And at night, when you get a good fire goin' outside, and all the tree branches glitter back at ya, and all you can hear is the fire because the snow muffles so much sound, the whole world is cold, but you're insulated in this little warm sphere. I love that. And on a full moon, when the sky is clear, and the snow is thick on the hills, I can drive around on these country roads at 3 AM with my headlights off. It is one of my favorite things to do in life. I don't know why, but I just find it intoxicating. I'll stop, but I could go on. I love the snow. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

leejacksonaudio Posted March 19 I live in Texas. I'm on disability retirement and no longer have to drive in the crap, nor do I have to report on the radio on road conditions and on idiots who don't know how to drive in it (I used to be a Traffic Reporter on 1080 AM KRLD here in Dallas/Ft. Worth after I departed 3D Realms). Ergo, I can afford to enjoy the white dusting when it happens every now and then. 6 Quote Share this post Link to post

The quiet, the stillness, the crunch of the ground (salt sometimes), the feeling of isolation, the thermal stress and endorphin response, and the dry purity of the air. Plus, it gets cold at night and that fire feels nice in the desert too. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Sesamia Posted April 7 Snow is great. I always like it when trees get covered in the stuff. I'll concede that it sorta sucks to drive in though. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
