Are the wads or tc's which make use of custom digitalised sprites?

No I'm not referring to og Doom sprites which were digitalised clay models, but rather similar to Rott anf TekWar where the sprite is based on a human actor in front of a green screen.

 

Asking because I'm curious in trying said technique one day.
