QuaketallicA Posted January 19, 2024 Good challenge...i.e. LOOOTS of dying and quick loading :) Romero seems rather fond of the Cyberdemons in this mapset. Usually when you see a Cyberdemon loose in a map 1 and 2 with clearly insufficient resources to deal with it, you've got to telefrag it. While it seems technically possible to do that, you have to get super lucky to position it right since these Cyberdemons walk around the map and don't stay in one teleport destination-sized region for very long. I don't think you're supposed to be able to kill these rocket-spewing guard dogs, and they have a nasty habit of defending the secret areas. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted January 19, 2024 (edited) Actually, in E6M1, one of the secrets involves a switch that will activate a crusher that you can lure the Cyberdemon under. Edited January 19, 2024 by Rudolph 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

LadyMistDragon Posted January 21, 2024 It really is though! The only map I made basically minimal to no effort to kill the Cyberdemon was the one in.....E6M5 I believe because he was in a stupid maze like the one in E5M6 and didn't feel like doing more exploring around escarpments basically. I found E6M8 to have quite a satisfying ending. I do think having the Cyberdemon be chaingunned in E6M2 was probably not the best decision. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Cutman 999 Posted January 21, 2024 Sigil 2 was definitely made to be played on uv as your "replay". From getting my ass kicked in map 1 to dominating most of the wad just, finding all the secrets, once i started learning the layouts and locations of everything, yeah if you didn't like it your first time through, just play it again lmao. I like most of the levels, the only ones I don't are E6M6 and E6M8. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Good to know. I actually found every secret on that level EXCEPT the one you describe. (and the one with the soulsphere/invulnerability) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
