PK7 files are unstable (in my opinion)

Just downloaded the "Le 34Dimension" (or whatever its called, can't remember the real name of it) mod and wanted to play it with many different PK3-format mods (e.g. Moon Man II, The Hotel - Lost Contact, etc.) but it doesn't want to work

Anyways, what makes PK7 files so unstable and incompatible?

how are them unstable?

i thougth the only problem was the load times, according to the zdoom wiki, but by some reason 7zip files were deprecated?

Frequently a 7zip, pk3 or pk7 file is used to encapsulate the pwad proper.

 

In order to diagnose your problem it would be helpful if you provided links

to the files you want to use.

Just changed the "pk7" on the name of the file to "7z" and now it opens the game's files for me. Thank you Kappes Buur.
