StalkerBlade Posted January 23 (edited) I've spent a lot of time out of my years drawing and painting. When it comes to actually sharing my artwork, I've been a bit of a hermit about doing that for a long time. I tend to hoard a lot of my own art, which is kind of a bad habit if you're like me and would like to do art for a living someday... I'll be using this thread as a sort of dumping ground for the art I create. You may or may not like the things I draw, which is perfectly fine. I do generally like just seeing what someone thinks when they see my art, so don't be afraid to let me know what you think. I usually do artwork of personal characters of mine: Spoiler (This piece is fairly old.) (Those are her actual eyes..) Or just one offs: Spoiler I also do some Doom every now and then: Spoiler A lot of my art is also usually inspired by metal music or themes, if that's something you might be into. Insaneprophet Posted January 23 Cool stuff. I see some Frazetta and Bisley influences, cant go wrong there 😀 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
StalkerBlade Posted January 23 @Insaneprophet Thanks lol. Frazetta’s art has definitely been an inspiration to me. You really can’t go wrong with retro fantasy art. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Insaneprophet Posted January 23 Do you know Simon Bisley? If not check him out, you definately have similarities you may appreciate. 😀 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

It’s actually been a good minute since I’ve looked into his art, but it’s definitely up my alley. There’s probably some subconscious inspiration going on lol 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

vyruss Posted January 25 Curious about your rendering process and the media you use! I like them a ton! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I usually stick with drawing/painting in photoshop because physical art started becoming taxing on space. Every now and then I'll take out one of my small sketch books and draw in it for a few minutes though. As for how I render my art, here's a gif showing most of the process. Once I reach a point where I think it's done I add some grain to mix in a little bit of texture. Some times I use references, but I've been in the habit of not using them for a little while. INfront95 Posted January 26 (edited) Also good use of photoshop funcions, i see you used "wind" one on the picture with big guy. Blue dude with Red mohawk has this Boris Valejo vibe. Edited January 26 by INfront95 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Very pretty demon woman. But sometimes it looks too revealing. As if they didn't give you a warning. I’ve already received a warning for erotic art, and without porn. So, be careful. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
StalkerBlade Posted January 26 @Taw Tu'lki What I have in the thread so far is about as extreme as my posts would get, but I’ll definitely be keeping that in mind with future posts to avoid any issues. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
StalkerBlade Posted February 22 (edited) Here’s a small test animation I did in about an hour in Blender. Everything from the modeling, rigging and animation was done from scratch. This was my first time legitimately attempting 3d animation and it’s actually pretty fun to mess around with. I do have some prior fundamental animation knowledge, so that helped out a lot. StalkerBlade Posted March 30 (edited) This is a render I did in Blender using some models I made and rigged. I've always liked the design of deep sea diver helmets and what-not. Edited May 4 by StalkerBlade 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
StalkerBlade Posted April 21 (edited) Another test render of some low poly models I made in Blender. Maybe one day a short animation will come from my efforts to learn 3d art. Edited May 4 by StalkerBlade 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Astar Posted April 21 Looks great. Just like in old games, like Gothic 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
StalkerBlade Posted May 2 (edited) Here’s a sketch of a character of mine named Rocky, I haven’t drawn him in a while so I figured I’d do so. Edited May 4 by StalkerBlade 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

StalkerBlade Posted June 6 Here is a couple of renders I did of a bunch of models I made and a close up of a robot I modeled recently. The first render is for a banner I did for myself and the second one is of some models I made for a possible animation project. I don't know how many people would legitimately be interested in watching a mini series featuring lowpoly models, but I guess it would be worth giving it a try. I'll definitely need to upgrade my gpu sometime soon though if I'm going to do that; my ancient gpu that I have right now can barely render a single image in a decent amount of time in Blender. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Ooooh, cool dude! Coincidentally, I'm also planning to start doing 3D. It would be interesting to see more of your work ^^ 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
