This week in ECS we are playing classic Deathmatch in the maps of Vignettes of Deathmatch (VODM) by EmZee712, AKA Shane! The session commences tomorrow on Sunday, January 28th 2024, at 8PM CET / 2PM EST! Vignettes of Deathmatch (VODM) is a limit-removing vanilla format deathmatch mapset created by EmZee712 and released in 2023! Its 23 maps have an old-school deathmatch mapset vibe, with inspirations drawn from Greenwar, Dweller, Danzig and the Brit series. Size-wise it takes the "less is more" approach, where maps are fairly small-ish but they still offer different pickups in several places than just SSGs. The simple detailing of the maps have also been done with the same approach, and it makes the mapset a throwback to older DM sets' simplicity in looks. Vignettes of Deathmatch received the first silver Multiplayer Cacoward ever in 2023!
