Rudolph Posted January 29 (edited) Back in the mid-90s, there was an interactive encyclopedia on CD about the American space program and the Solar System, complete with pictures, video clips, text descriptions and even virtual fly-overs of the planets. What I most remember is the clip of a space shuttle launch that, if memory serves, played every time a specific space mission - unless said mission's details were classified; in that case, a weirdly-ominous pop-up would appear to inform us about it - or a planet was selected. In this age of Wikipedia and YouTube, it seems utterly laughable, but back in the days, I thought it was awesome and I wish to refresh my memory about it. However, I do not remember how it was called, which complicates my research. Does it ring any bells? Edited January 29 by Rudolph 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted January 30 Unfortunately, no, that is not it. The game I am thinking of had CD-quality audio and did not look like a DOS game. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
TheMagicMushroomMan Posted January 30 Possibly one of these or maybe Encarta? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Rudolph Posted January 30 I seem to remember the software's menu being fashioned after a space shuttle cockpit. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
smeghammer Posted January 30 was it one of the MS Encarta titles? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Encarta 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted January 30 I strongly doubt it. We had Encarta 95, but the software I am looking for looked nothing like it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
