CrocMagnum Posted May 1, 2024 (edited) Congrats on v0.13.0 release. Updates for Freedoom are always full of suprises: I mean there's a lot of changes between versions. The gunplay is starting to feel satisfying. I like the better pistol and the new shotgun for instance. Same deal for the music, I like the variety and the compositions. Especially the tracks from Phase 2. Freedoom is finally starting to feel like his own thing. Can't wait for further updates. Edited May 1, 2024 by CrocMagnum 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SecularSteve Posted June 8, 2024 (edited) I've been meaning to ask. Is there an official soundtrack playlist of the re-done 0.13 line-up somewhere? Some of the re-done MIDI-s were already pure rock goodness, but now I wish there were FOSS-Grammies, and an LP Vinyl Collection, not to mention the new ones. Props to the ones who made them. You're all an artiste, each and every one of you. Edited June 8, 2024 by SecularSteve 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

You're all an artiste, each and every one of you. You can extract them from the IWADs directly using SLADE. After that I'm drawing a blank on how to convert them to a different sound profile. Many music apps do support midi. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I'm surprised we missed that after our multiple reviews of the list. At least we have screenshots of the Octaminator. I'll update the website sometime today. I have a suggestion: If you're finding it difficult to keep track of the changes between versions, make a branch of the repository for each new version. When you're ready to release, look over all the commits on that specific branch to write the changelog, then merge the update branch into the main branch (Of course if that's already how you do it, then idk how that happened, I guess some things just slip when you're organizing such a massive project) Edited June 10, 2024 by WASFDDDDD 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
