VL2M STUDIO Posted January 30 (edited) @OniriA That's not nice. Why post this? Not everyone likes flashing lights. Context for people that see this thread. That person posted an epileptic gif. Edited January 31 by VL2M STUDIO 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

mrthejoshmon Posted February 1 Blue, PSX Doom and N64 used a fair amount of blue/light blue lighting to great effect and it has really stuck with me. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
DankMetal Posted February 1 Kinda off topic, but the use of colored lighting always fascinated me. I remember hearing that one of the techniques that old horror movies from the 80's used to induce, well, horror, was adding a lot of colorful lights to some scenes, so i think that Midway wanted to introduce that to their port, and it works perfectly, considering that doom takes a lot of inspiration from sci-fi and slasher movies from that time. Just a li'l factoid for those who are obsessed with old horror movies who also happen to like doom... Oh yeah, which color represents psx doom?blue, why not, blue is the nearest thing we got to purple on that port. I love purple 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
BGreener Posted February 3 I’ve played PC Doom for so long that any “colored lighting” will do it for me, honestly. Colored lighting and Aubrey Hodges ambience makes one tasty sandwich, lemme tell ya, and this extends to the N64 ports of the Quakes (PSX Quake 2 uses PC/Sonic Mayhem tracks, if I remember right). 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
