pritch Posted April 7, 2003 I downloaded 42.cab for my new PC on XP. Everything works fine except when I run it the display is mashed until I alt+tab which refreshes it. It also gets mashed if I change the resolution in-game and here's a weird thing, I took a screenie of it mashed but the screenie came out fine. Any ideas what's causing this? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Cyb Posted April 7, 2003 tsk tsk, shouldn't this go in source ports? :P anyway, in display options try turning off either directdraw pallet hack or use attached surfaces (I forget which, but I have both off) I believe those cause fullscreen problems on some machines. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I should read up on what those actually do but I'm too busy anti-tarding XP atm. Still, I've almost got it in the 'acceptable OS' zone now :) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rotting Corpse Posted April 9, 2003 I hate how Xp's start menu takes up a forth of your screen. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Arioch Posted April 10, 2003 I use the new one. Up your resolution and it takes less space (than 25%). :P 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
