WOLFENSTEIN texture replacement issue

In DOOM II I have been trying to do something. I have replaced all WOLFENSTEIN hidden level textures with my own custom ones but they are showing up as wolfenstein textures still in the game. My mod is a pk3 with maps made in DOOM II in DOOM II format. In the wad version, my original version, the Wolfenstein textures do not show up and instead show the custom ones as they are supposed too. So why in the PK3 version are they showing up as the original wolfenstein versions? I converted by TEXTUREx and PNAMES files to the more modern TEXTURES and placed all textures in the TEXTURES sub folder and all flats in the FLATS sub folder. I cannot figure out why these work fine in the classic vanilla wad format but not in the PK3. In the PK3, they default back to wolfenstein textures despite being completely custom in the PK3. Help please?

 

EDIT: So sorry, I forgot to add them into the PATCHES sub directory. Sorry! Problem solved.
