ArpeggioPegasus Posted February 6, 2024 (edited) I've been on a James Paddock kick lately, and I figured I'd ask other Doomers which MIDI soundtracks from mods are their faves. I love listening to this stuff while working/studying, puts me in "hyperfocus" mode. Also, I put "DOOM" in the topic's title, but anything goes really, even full games that are lesser known, or mods for games that run on the DOOM engine. Here's one you probably already know about, but I also really enjoy: Edited February 6, 2024 by CrostDaergon 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
JoeyKelastiof Posted February 7, 2024 This one is the first one that came to mind when I read your question: Man this soundtrack is epic, I remember the map too it was very fitting. Plus it made me discover the original song. Love the soundtrack you posted too! 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Murdoch Posted February 8, 2024 The history of Doom mapping is filled with many classic tracks. But the one that always comes to mind to me first is Requiem, the first megawad I downloaded for Doom II so long ago, particularly this track. First link is the original, second is a later reimagined version with even more epic. Love the slow moody build up before it kicks into the main part of the song. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
yakfak Posted February 8, 2024 timestamped! I really vibe with this tune right now, the use of percussion is so great i have entered a weird period of forgetfulness and can't tell what my eternal faves are 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
lokbustam257 Posted February 8, 2024 The whole soundtrack for Heartland itself is great, but these two are some of my favorite tracks I've heard. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Weaseln_hecktor Posted February 9, 2024 This is such a hard choice to make, but these three are my all-time favorite. Like to me, this type of music elevates the whole doom experience, and just makes it SO much more than shotgun goes boom in four square rooms™. Like I think music, gameplay (with monster placement, fights, items, challenges) and level design all account for 1/3 of the level's experience I believe. Here they are: 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
